Network Optix prepared a special web resource, the IP Video Supported Devices list (a.k.a. IPVD), where anybody can see which devices are supported at the moment, with a shortlist of capabilities.
The capabilities of the camera model are collected through Nx Witness systems that have allowed anonymous auto-reporting to the program. These capabilities are determined through several API calls that Nx Server makes to the device.
NOTE: Please verify features that are important for you with the device's vendor, as some devices may auto-report support for certain features that they do not actually support (for example, I/O or 2-way audio). |
To get a camera listed on the IPVD list:
- Prepare three independent Nx Systems and connect three different cameras of the same model to those systems. Each Nx System should have a different camera connected so that the same camera isn't duplicated on another system.
- Remove any firewall rules blocking traffic to Nx Server (see the Firewall Passlist for details).
- Enable Send anonymous usage and crash statistics to software developers on all three of the Nx Systems (System Administration > General tab).
- (Optional) Initiate the API request http://<server_ip>:<server_port>/ec2/triggerStatisticsReport for each Nx System.
Take a look below to find out just how we are able to support such a wide range of cameras.
The list below shows device drivers used for the integration. If you see a camera supported but cannot find its vendor in the list below, it is supported using ONVIF Profile S.
Explanation of the symbols, as used in the table below:
+ = Supported
- = Not Supported
* = This feature's availability varies depending on the camera model and its implementation. For specific details about your model's status, please visit https://nxvms.com/ipvd.
