This guide explains how to integrate Hanwha WisenetRoadAI (ANPR/LPR) with your Video Management System (VMS). Following these steps ensures that Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) events trigger bookmarks or other automated actions in your VMS.\
| Note: It is recommended to create a dedicated user account and user group for this integration. Never use Local Admin, Administrator, or Power User access levels for API or system integrations. |
Step 1: Configure the camera web interface
Enable integration within the camera internal application settings to send data to the VMS.
Open a web browser and enter your camera IP address.
Go to Settings > Open Platform.
Select Go App (WisenetRoadAI) to open the application interface in a new tab.
In the WisenetRoadAI interface, select the SETTINGS tab.
Turn on Wave integration (this setting applies to all Powered-by-Nx customizations).
Enter your Media Server connection details:
Server IP: Enter the IP address of your Media Server.
Port: Enter
7001(default server port).Credentials: Enter the username and password for your dedicated VMS integration user.
Step 2: Configure the VMS event rule
Create an event rule in the VMS to capture plate detections and trigger an action.
Set up a lookup list (Optional)
If you want to trigger events based on specific vehicle groups (for example, blocklists or allowlists), configure a lookup list:
Option A: Open the Main menu > Lists Management, and create or edit a list.
Option B: In the Notification panel (right side of the Desktop Client), select the Objects tab, right-click a vehicle notification, and select Add to list or select an existing list.
Create the event rule
Open System Administration > Event Rules.
Click Add to create a new rule.
Under When, set the event criteria:
Event: Select
Analytics Object Detected.Occurs at: Select your Hanwha LPR camera(s).
Of type: Select for example
Vehicle. (orbus,car, etc.)
(Optional) Under And Object, select
is listed in, then choose your desired lookup list.Under Do, set your target action:
Action: Select
Create Bookmark(or your preferred action).
Click Apply, then click OK.
| Note: Although you can select Analytics Events in the Rules Engine for these devices, please be aware that the devices do not send event data to the VMS. As a result, no automated rules will be triggered. |
