What In-Camera Analytics Does Nx Witness Support?
Besides the flexible integration of 3rd party analytics through a Generic Event, Network Optix also offers quite a few in-camera analytics integrations and this number of integrations will increase over time.
Please verify with the relevant camera manufacturer or your camera reseller which models suits your use case since not every model might have all the mentioned analytics events onboard.
Below you will find a list of integrated brands in alphabetical order and for each brand a list of known analytics events.
Axis
The Axis devices were integrated using the AXIS Camera Application Platform. All built-in events and most events from the applications found in the Axis Application gallery will be supported.
Note: An event (no matter if it is in the Application or built-in) will be supported if it meets the following two conditions:
These conditions are met by most ACAP applications, but it is wise to verify this before deployment with the supplier of the ACAP application. Note 2: The rules described above can be modified with a special JSON file placed near the Axis plugin directory. |
Additional Information:
When the event is triggered on the camera side, the camera will try to initiate the connection to Nx Server.
To do that, Nx Server provides the camera with a URL in the form of "server_ip:listening_port" which is later used by a camera as an end-point.
By default, it is expected that analytics won't work for cameras manually added over the internet (public IP). We are working on a solution to resolve this limitation in the future.
