Find your software version

Knowing your VMS version is essential when troubleshooting issues, contacting support, or checking if your system is compatible with new features and integrations.

This guide shows you how to find the version numbers for the Desktop Client, Media Server, and Mobile Client.

Find the Desktop Client and Media Server version

You can view the version details for both the Desktop Client and the connected Media Server directly from the desktop application.

1. Open the Desktop Client.

2. Open the Main Menu and click About, or press F1 (Windows/Linux) or Fn + F1 (macOS).

3. Review the information dialog that appears:

   • Desktop Client version: Located at the top of the dialog. (1)

   • Media Server version: Located below the client details. (2)

   • Partner information: Displays your provider's contact details. (3)

4. (Optional) Click Copy to copy the version details to your clipboard. (4)

Find the Mobile Client version

To find the version of your Nx Witness Mobile application:

1. Open the Mobile Client.

2. Tap the Gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.

3. Tap About.

4. View the version number displayed on the screen. (1)

5. (Optional) Tap the Copy icon in the top-right corner to copy the version details. (2)
