Dahua Camera HDBW4431F-AS issue with streams

Since upgrading to 4.0, six Dahua HDBW4431F-AS cameras with 2016 firmware (which refuse to upgrade to more recent firmware unfortunately), now only display in high definition. Also had this problem with one Dahua PTZ.
I'm now using July 2020's 4.1 NX. But same deal.
The general settings page of each camera shows the problem is both the primary and secondary streams use the same address. One should have a 0 and the other a 1. If I could edit one of these settings, I could just change the 0 to a 1 and I'd have my secondary stream. But it won't let me edit that.
Is there some way I can activate the editing of the stream addresses for this purpose?

Currently, the only option is to add the camera as an RTSP stream manually. In this way you can pick the stream of your choice, but as a downside, you'll lose a lot of functionality of the cameras, like changing resolution, framerate, etc and when available the in-camera analytics options.
In one of our future release we will enable the option to change the stream number as discussed in THIS topic.
