I set it in smart event under VCA.  Some Hik cameras advertise object detection but I confirmed with them recently that the cameras need to be Acusense to work with NX or DW

If you search google there are hikvision firmware updates available for that model.  I wasn't able to do my updates remotely is the reason why I did the rtsp stream fix instead.  Ive had this issue...

Yes I have been using object detection for a couple years now with Hikvision cameras.  You need to have the Acusense version of the cameras and need to set up the detection in the camera

I had the same issue with a customer.  I ended up just re adding them with the rtsp stream.I would suspect that updating the firmware would correct the issue.
