Broken Merged System

Hi

We had a 2 server Nx-4 and NX-5 system which was working okay

Unfortunately I attemped to upgrade the server version using .exe file on NX-4 . It didnt seem to detect there was an existing install and created a new NX-4 server .

So now NX-5 doesnt see NX-4 even though it is running. It does show the option to merge with the new NX-4.  Should I login to the new NX-4 server and run the merge? Or will this make things worse? I did get a config backup before running the upgrade but restoring this doesnt fix the merge issue

  Hi @...,

  What do you mean with Nx-4 and Nx-5, would it mean Nx Witness 4.0 and Nx Witness 5.0? If that is the case, you can't merge them, since builds need to be identical.

  Also, in such case, the config backup won't save you, since it is build specific.

  What I would check, is if there is a restore point in the operating system, so you can revert the system to the time before the installation of the .exe file.

  When this is done, please check THIS support article, about how to upgrade a system.
