Make sure you have the camera set to the current time and date as well thru the camera webpage

    Hi Andrea,

Apparently this is an issue with the version of NX you have.

This latest release mentions a fixed problem like yours : https://nxvms.com/download/other/releases

I have several ColorVu G3 Hikvision cameras I have added on NX Witness 6.0.5.

In doing so, I had to log in to the camera's webpage, go to the network menu, to the platform access submenu, go to the onvif tab and turn it from the default (off) to on.

It sounds like you probably already did that however. The other thing is I've been having to go to the NX camera settings expert tab and activate the tickbox for keep camera's own settings. Without that sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. In one case this wasn't needed but then a few weeks later the camera started going on and off signal constantly and as soon as I activated that tickbox, it resumed normal operation.

    Hi,

After several hours of testing, or rather several days, i finally managed to solve the problem.I hope this information can help others who find themselves in the same situation.

As stated in the NX Witness FAQ, you must first configure the camera time synchronization using an NTP server and then enable the ONVIF protocol.

The tricky part is right here. Coming from older firmware versions, I was used to configuring an ONVIF user as well. However, with this firmware version the ONVIF username field must be left blank.

When adding the camera in NX Witness, use the camera's administrator credentials (admin username and camera password). Will automatically create and add the ONVIF user entry in the camera's ONVIF user table. This prevents conflicts with any existing credentials already configured in that table.

Once I left the ONVIF username field empty and added the camera using the admin credentials, everything worked correctly.

Best regards to everyone, and thank you for your support
