Manage Map Features
In ProgressI have several requests to do this kind of thing but I know it's not possible at the moment...
My clients are currently using google maps on one screen and the cameras on another.
When you have to manage several hundred cameras it's not practical.

Take a look at this post:

Hi Fredrik Ahlsen,
I had already seen this post before I added mine.
But it's a question that is already 2 years old and for the moment it's still not possible to add cameras on google maps for example. -
Hi, Jordan IUNCKER
yeah, we have this request for some time (if not from day 1)
We understand your eagerness to have this request implemented, and we will try to implement this in one of our future releases. The fact is that the new post is not smth that drives those decisions. Actually, upvoting the initial post or leaving a comment with a description of your scenarios/projects can be a more effective way of showing interest in it.
But anyway, as it's mentioned there, we are working on improving our main scene, adding separate soft triggers. In the future, we'll improve our client API, so you'll be able to leave links on cameras on external sites (e.g., map), and it will open a camera on the layout (from an internal browser). So our goal here is to let pages in the embedded browser deeply integrate with the client: open cameras, call archive, be aware of timeline and layout, and so on. We are sure that it will help to integrate different maps in our software as well.

I understand, I have already vote for this post.
But okey,I add a comment to explain my project.I see in this post, Tony explain, we can already use Google maps and add camera on this maps ? Right ?
How I can do it ?I want use google maps in the client, and link a position to a camera in the google maps, it's possible ?
Best regards,
-

Tony was offering to use server API: https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/219573367-Nx-Server-HTTP-REST-API
You can use REST API on some external site and open this site in the internal Chromium browser. What you need -- links to cameras that will open them in the client -- I'm not sure if it's possible.
Andrey Terentyev Anton Babinov can you help us here? Maybe some examples.
But anyway, we are working on adding and improving such features in our browser. I've described that in my previous comment. -
Hi Tagir Gadelshin,
No news about this features etc... ? Any idea ?

After consulting with our colleagues, I can only say that when you create a web page, you can tick a checkbox that is now called This webpage is for C2P integration.
When you use it, you can place a JS command on your webpage that will open some specific camera at a specific time.
The JS command should look likeexternal.c2pplayback(camera.value, timestamp.value);
timestamp.value can be set to "-1" to play live.
Unfortunately, we don't have any public documentation or examples on this (but we have plans to publish it)
You can try to open a support ticket so our guys can help you there for the time being if it is urgent for you.
But as I said, this is smth that we work on, and it will be documented and improved in future releases. -
Hi Tagir Gadelshin,
Okey, I can't create a web page for each city...
I need place any icon on any maps (for example google maps) or a real image.
I need use a real city map
But thanks for this information...
I hope you find soon a solution to improve this features.
Best regards -
Any news ?
Only NX VMS don't have any maps features....

Many good features but some basic functionality like this is missing. Even the multi layer functionality in layouts would make a lot to usability, and that wouldn't even require a lot.... When do we get some improvements for this?
My wish list.
1. Make it possible to add icons to map which leads to other layout.
2. Make icons what you can place in layout (camera, server, I/O devices) If you could have an icon where you can adjust the cameras viewing area that would be great.
3. Make an scalable map integration where you can place cameras, links to layouts etc... -
Hi
I also added a comment and continued to message Saku Mattnen.
The good feature creates a map, puts the camera as an icon on this map, and in automation, adds a rule like "if motion detected: blink camera icon". For most of our security, it is a big question, they want to see on the map icons where motion is detected, but they don't need to preview these cameras.
