Nx Meta requires licenses to record video and audio streams or to manage I/O devices. As a developer, you can get free trial licenses for testing or use emulation tools that do not require a license.

Activate a standard trial license

When you install Nx Meta for the first time, you can instantly activate a free trial license for up to 4 devices. This license is valid for 30 days.

Prerequisite: Ensure your system has an active internet connection.

To activate your trial license:

1. Open the Main Menu and select Site Administration (Ctrl+Alt+A).

2. Go to the Licenses tab.

3. Click Activate Trial License.

Request a custom trial license

If you need more than 4 licenses or a longer testing period to develop with Nx Meta, you can request a custom trial license.

Test without a license using Testcamera IP Camera Emulator

If your integration does not require specific physical camera hardware, you do not need an Nx Meta license. Instead, you can use the Testcamera IP Camera Emulator to emulate a network camera and test your integration.
