NX Witness client on Windows Server 2022 Standard Video card drivers are outdates or not installed

Hi guys,

we have a Windows Server 2022 Standard showing the below error when we run NX Witness Client, i tried the OpenGL emulation library, i can't find the three files opengl32.dll , libglapi.dll, and libgallium_wgl.dll​, any suggestion?

    Please check THIS support article. If you follow the link in the article, you can download the packages that contains all three *.dll files.

    Norman - can you be specific about which exact OpenGL library versions work with specific NX Witness builds? We had NX Witness 5.0.0.35136 installed on Windows Server 2022 which worked correctly with mesa3d-21.3.7-release-msvc but not with the newer 22.x mesa release.

    Then NX Witness was updated with to the latest 5.0.0.35270 build and it no longer works with either 21.3.7 or 22.x mesa releases, so now we can only access NX Witness from a separate admin workstation that has proper OpenGL video hardware and not from the server itself. What version of mesa works with this latest NX Witness release?

    Hi Norman,

    Library was working with v4 but with v5 it is not working anymore. Have you tested the library with v5? if yes, what is the exact build number you are using with v5?

    My default system is using Mesa 21.2.6.

    Regarding:

    No, this configuration is never tested. We consider MS Windows server edition to run the Nx server application, not the client application. Using emulation on devices with limited graphics option is a band-aid, not a solution to use the client on such device.

    Next week a new 5.0 release will be published. Please verify the issue with this build and in case issues continue to arise, please let us know and I'll forward the issue as a task for our developers to replicate if possible.

    Alessandro El Sharkawi can you confirm for us how you resolved the issue and with which version?

    In my case i have Windows Server 2022 Standard with NX Server 5.0.0.35270 and NX Client 5.0.035270 working

    Hi Tolga Altun and Jacob Luebbers,

    So far we checked and till version mesa3d-22.0.3-release-msvc we managed to make it work.

    We'll update the article soon with some additional notes.

    Hi Norman,

    Just checking, has there been any update on this issue? I have recently installed Nx Witness Client 5.0.0.36634 on a Windows Server 2022. I am using mesa3d-23.1.3-release-msvc and still receiving the same driver error


    Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
