Licensing Issue - Server Unavaliable
CompletedI was recently asked to look at an issue one of our customers was having on one of their NX servers. The server manager was showing the licences associated with one server all in error and saying that the server could not be found.
The server in question has been in this state for over 30 days so I assumed that the licenses must somehow still be present or valid on the sever. After checking the HWID Log I found that for some reason the NX Witness Server service was not detecting any NICs however they are all still present in the system and no changes have been made. Short of reinstalling the server software is there anything else that can be done to correct this issue with out having to bring the system down and also will I assume I will need to get the licenses disabled before I can reactivate them.
Bellow is an export to the HWID log file for reference. from the 8th of the June you can see the error: ERROR HWID: No network cards detected.

Hi Daniel Groot,
Your issue has been transferred into a ticket, can you help to provide necessary information for us in the corresponding ticket?
Thanks.

Hi All,
Regarding the error, it is likely the problem is on OS WMI Database, you can refer to the article here.
A possible solution is that you can try to rebuild the WMI DB. As this is an issue on the OS side, unfortunately application cannot help with that, the worst case is that you might need to reinstall the OS to force Windows to rebuild its WMI DB.
