    Hi christophe cavalier,

The LPR function is supported on our latest patch 4.2.0.33579, it is called Traffic Detection.
Please perform an in-client upgrade with the following information:
    Build Number: 33579
    Password: xxluxn

Since the modification of recognizing the Dahua ITC237-PW6M-IRLZ-C2 has been implemented, you may need to put the resource data file again as Norman instrcuted on your previous POST again, if the camera does not be recognized properly after upgrading the Nx Witness.

Please let us know whether the patch could make the in-camera analytics works, thank you.

    Hi Anderson,

    thanks for your answer.

    I have well upgrade.

camera is well known as Dahua

However, I can not find Traffic detection. Maybe I don't search on the right place.

    thank you.

    Hi christophe cavalier,

For this model, we noticed that the camera does not report LPR capabilities to the VMS.

    See below:

    1. The request to the camera
    2. Camera confirms as OK
    3. Camera provides the list of supported events. LPR isn't one of them.

The list corresponds with the results in Nx:

Can you report this to Dahua? In THIS LINK you can download the relevant packet capture.

    Hi Norman,

I have had an answer from Dahua. I have just transfered you their email.

they ask you to check this command and they have sent a integration instruction file.

    http://<server>/cgi-bin/snapManager.cgi?action=attachFileProc&Flags[0]=Event&Events=All

    thanks for your reply.

    Hi christophe cavalier,

I tried the API call, got the request to log in, so I did, but didn't get any results:

I assume this should be the correct URL:

    http://<camera>/cgi-bin/snapManager.cgi?action=attachFileProc&Flags[0]=Event&Events=All

The server obviously doesn't respond to Dahua camera API calls.

    Hi Norman,

    thanks for your answer.

Does this mean that the problem is from Dahua?

    Hi christophe cavalier,

At least the command they shared doesn't provide any information to analyze.
So it is a bit early to state that it is a Dahua problem.

    Hi Guilhem Decoux,

I'm actually awaiting more information from christophe cavalier?
Currently, it is Dahua that needs to take the next step.
