Provision In-Camera analytics
CompletedI have a Provision DI-380IPE-MVF camera on my NX (running latest release on both cameras and NX). I don't see the plug in on the Plugin tabs. Do I need to install it manually?

Hello Gordon Remmington,
Could you send a screenshot of the Plugins folder. It's located in the following path:
1. Windows:C:\Program Files\Network Optix\Nx Witness\MediaServer\plugins

Hello Gordon Remmington,
We will need a remote access to the camera so that we can add it to our test system.
Therefore, I will create a support ticket in which you can share data non-publicly.

Good day.
We have a new installation running version 4.2.0.34860, and are unable to view Provision-ISR plugins, they don't appear in the plugin folder, nor are available on the camera tab.
This was previously fixed in patch 33579, but it doesn't appear on the latest versions.
Please advise.

I have a site with Provision-ISR cameras(16 of them. All are DI-340IPE-28s) and most of them show the plugin tab in camera settings but some do not. All cameras are on the 5.1.1 firmware. Any suggestions?
Also will there be an update to the plugin to support object detection? I know these cameras support, Person, Vehicle, Face and Bike detections.

Hi David Estabrook,
Can you share a screenshot of the Camera Settings menu, tab General in the Nx Witness desktop client that reveals the Vendor, Model and Firmware?
For feature feedback, please add these requests to the Feature Feedback section of the community.

Hi David Estabrook,
Thank you for the screenshots.
Is it right to assume that the camera with the name Front - Walkaway does work and the camera with the name Front Door doesn't work?
If that assumption is correct, it should be resolved by Provision, since the identifier for the Vendor should be Provision ISR and the Model should show the correct model name.

All the information in the Onvif Device Viewer is correct for both these cameras. There are a couple of cameras that dont have the plugin page, and i think those cameras were added after i upgraded the system to version 5. All the cameras that are working fine were added prior. Also these Provision cameras are all from the same batch of cameras we ordered. so even tho they were added after we upgraded the VMS software, the cameras were purchased from Provision at the same time.

Please start a separate ticket, since the issue you encounter is likely different, since you're not using a listed model as mentioned in THIS support article. Also, otherwise it becomes near to impossible to keep all information clear when two conversations are in the same topic.

Hi David Estabrook,
Can you provide the output of the /ec2/getFullInfo API request?
You can call the following URL:
https://<serverIp>:7001//ec2/getFullInfo
You can save the output in .json format and share with us as a download link.

Was there any further public feedback on this one?
I have two systems with different results on each:
System 1: NX on v5.0.035745. Provision-ISR DI-380IPE-MVF Camera on firmware 5.0.1.0(9203) firmware. In-camera analytics working fine. Plugins tab is present and shows 'Provision ISR In Camera Analytics', version 1.0.1
System 2. NX on v5.0.035745. Provision-ISR DI-380IPS-28 (fix lens instead of VF) on 5.0.1.0(12080) firmware. Plugins tab does not appear and no in-camera analytics available.

The mentioned model isn't listed for the integration, but I assume it should be possible to make them work.
Can you share a screenshot of the Nx Witness Desktop client of the Camera Settings menu, tab General, that reveals Vendor and Model name?
-
I managed to fix the issue on the system 2.
I discovered that on system 1, within the plugins folder, a folder had been created called 'dw_mx9'. Within this was a json file called 'manifest provision'. I believe this may have been created previously by NX support. On viewing the json I could see the list of supported Provision-isr cameras models and event types. I was able to edit the file to include the model required and cut/paste this to system 2. Camera analytic events then worked as expected.
-
That is a workaround, but on long term this will remain a manual task.
If you can share a screenshot of the Nx Witness Desktop client of the Camera Settings menu, tab General, that reveals Vendor and Model name, I could make it a permanent fix, without manual actions.

Thank you Gordon Remmington,
I have forwarded the information to our team, and it will be added to one of the upcoming 5.0 patches.
