    Hi johns,

    Please check THIS knowledge base article, which explain the steps to take.

    Best regards.

    Hi Norman,

    I would just like to confirm whether this is the correct guide for our situation, as we will still be using Network Optix Nx Witness and are not migrating to Network Optix Nx Go.

    The guide states:

    “This guide uses a migration from Network Optix Nx Witness to Network Optix Nx Go as an example.”

    Could you please confirm whether the same migration process applies when migrating Nx Witness to Nx Witness on a new Windows server?

    Hi johns ,

    My recommended workflow is:

    1. Merge in Server 3 and add NAS storage pool
    2. Stop all recording on Server 1 incl NAS, but leave online
    3. Move all cameras from Server 1 to Server 3
    4. When a suitable retention period has passed, delete / retire server 1
    5. Export / Backup licenses [for safety] and deactivate “Server not found” licenses, then reactivate them on Server 3 [Pro licenses only].

    Nx Client / Server will continue to access and recycle storage on Server 1 while it is online.

    Having multiple servers share the same NAS storage pool requires some specific handling;
