Nx may opt-in to this conversation, but I don't currently see it as possible within the Nx GUI.

https://nxvms.com/integrations/876-nx-powertoys is a Nx rules manager that can enable, disable, toggle rules as a group, on timer and schedule. Adding a feature module to enable and disable users is not much different.
After a quick code review, it looks entirely possible within the NxPT framework & the Nx API.

Andrew Sharrem, I’m not the original poster but that plug-in would be useful some rules logic I have been considering and at the very least appears to make setting up rules certain rules significantly less cumbersome. I was also looking for a time based trigger feature ideally not having to use Chron in Linux (ie at 5PM daily disable X rule) - which this seems to handle. Thank you for introducing me to PowerToys.

To piggy-back off of the original poster looking to restrict what time of day a user can access footage, I’d be interested in being able to limit how far back they can look. For example, if 30 days of footage exist, I’d want to limit certain users only to the most recent 7 days. Especially with temp users.

I don’t see this option in the native interface, not sure if it exists with the PT plugin. Having it built into the native interface would be ideal.

    Hi Rick Akkermans

The solution of Andrew Sharrem offers the most convenient UX.
However, like Swimmer90 mentioned, cron or Windows task scheduler might do the same.

Also, such scenario often is used to allow an ARC to view, in this case, often the intrusion system is used to trigger a rule to enable or disable the user to access the cameras. In this case it isn't a hard time-based access, but depending on the armed state of the intrusion system.

Swimmer90 regarding the restriction period a user can view; I'd encourage you to share such feature in a separate topic in this section, so our Product team is aware of this demand and can't overlook it.
