Full screen issue with client in a VM
AnsweredRunning WAVE version 3.1.31767.
On a VM platform running Windows 10 pro.
When I launch the client, the screen goes black.
I can kill the process with task manager.
If I use a command line switch to force the client to open in windowed mode, everything works just fine. If I maximize the window for full screen, I lose all controls - nothing is displayed. The camera tree, menus, notifications, everything disappears and a black screen is shown..
I verified that OpenGL is supported in the VM using http://www.realtech-vr.com/home/glview
Is this a bug in the client?
I know that a VM is not the ideal platform for the client, but many businesses are utilizing this for standard deployment of virtual desktops and easy access to resources during this work from home time.

Hi Aaron,
Here's the article about the virtual machine environment for your reference.
Additionally, could you share the screenshot of the Main Menu > About page?
Thank you.

Hi Aaron Saks,
I would recommend reaching out to the Hanwha team regarding the Wave software. They are happy to offer you support for the Hanwha Wave VMS.
Also, I would recommend to at least update from 3.1.31767 to 4.1.0.31400 since it contains a lot of improvements, bug fixes and new features.

Norman - Nx Support Sorry, that version number was a typo. It should have read 4.1.31767.

Hi Aaron Saks,
We tried to reproduce it, but failed. We could open the Nx Witness client without any issue in a VMWare instance with Windows 10. Without a clear reproduction scenario there is not much we can do and at this stage I would suggest reaching out to VMWare fur further suggestions. Please let us know when we can be of any help in this case.
