    Hi Adam,

The AXIS P3715 supported is listed in the release note of 4.1.0.31767:

    NEW DEVICE SUPPORT/IMPROVEMENTS/FIXES

    • New Axis Cameras supported: AXISP3715, AXISD201-S, AXISD101-S

The completed release note is available on our download page.

Could you please update the latest software/firmware version of Nx and AXIS camera then retry?

Let us know if you still meet the issue on your side.

    Thank you.

    Hey Wendy,

That worked thank you. Sorry still new to NX.
Love the product so far but really hate the update feature inside it. When it says "latest update is already installed" it should mean that. Not that you need to go somewhere and get a build number and password...

    Thanks,

    Hi Adam Dowsley,

To reduce your hatred a bit for our update policy please take notice of THIS support article. ;-)

The Nx Witness media server application only checks for released versions, not for patches or other versions. Since the fix for the Axis camera was included in a patch, you are required to use the specific build number and password to update to this patch.

When we release version 4.2 and you wait until we push the button, you will get a notification in your Nx Witness Desktop client that a new version is available and you can update by approval.

I hope this clarified our update policy a bit.

    Hey Norman

Maybe hatred was too strong a word. Dislike might be better. I just think the UI could be a little more clearer, and even the stable / monthly / beta channels be options inside the app with custom build available still for special dev fixes.

As for the P3715-PLVE compatability, its now working... kinda. For clarity I am running 4.1.0.31767
The camera is crashing every few hours and according to AXIS support NxWitness are attempting to grab properties that are obsolete/legacy services which are no longer available.

VMS trying to retrieve some obsoleted/legacy services which no longer available.

    Hi Wendy Chuang,

I will not be able to provide direct access to the camera remotely. I am happy to upload the diagnostic file from the camera itself, and or facilitate access over Zoom for a technician to investigate the issue over a support session.

If you wish to take me up on my offer, please email me directly.

    Thanks,

    Hi Adam Dowsley,

Thanks. Typically, Nx integrates the AXIS cameras by following their VAPIX API. AXIS should keep its compatibility even though any old services(e.g. VideoLegacy) are not supported, especially the camera should not get crash.

I'll convert this post into our ticket system later, we might need your help to collect some information about the case. Please check your mailbox and provides the info accordingly.
    Thank you for your cooperation.
