NX mobile login always in capital letters.

Hi all, Since I switched my phone to one plus 8, I'm not able to login in the nx witness mobile app. When asking for username and password, all input is in capital letters. Even when I copy and paste, the characters are converted to capitals. Changing keyboard types, reinstalling the app did not work. Before anyone answers, I know how to use the keyboards shift key :-)

    Could you share the version of Android OS and Nx mobile software to us?

    Additionally, do you meet the same issue with other application on one plus 8, or Nx mobile on the previous phone?

    Nx Witness version : 20.2.31369 (REV AE38F4F43172)

    Android : 10 - Oxygen OS 10.5.10.IN21BA

    Android Security Patch : 1 August 2020

     

    I don't have the same issue with other applications. But I recently downloaded it on my phone, because I had to renew my smartphone. We're running the app op several vendors without a problem. 

    If it's related tot a 'first installation' issue that could be the case. On the other devices the user credentials where already configured in previous versions of the app.

    Hi @...,

    Although OxygenOS is based on Android, it is not officially supported and issues might occur. 
    I have sent a question to our mobile developers and get back at you as soon as I know more.

    Hi @...,

    We've checked the OxygenOS on our side and the case should be only the UI problem.
    Actually, it distinguishes the upper and lower case letters. All of them look capitalized but you might notice a bit difference of the size when switching between upper and lower case.
    Please try to press connect button and let us know if you're still unable to access the Nx system.

    Hi Wendy,

    excuse me for the late delay. When I copy/paste the credentials from a password manager, the login works. As mentioned above, the chosen font type has a minor difference between letters and capital letters. 

    In some cases it's hard to see the difference.

    But problem is solved! Thank you for the feedback and quick response. 

    For now, case closed.

    Hi Jan,

    Then the problem might be the UI glitch case. We're  able to reproduce the case on our side and issue has been reported to our DEV team. It might take some time to apply the fix. Please check the release note in the future version.
