How many wearable cams on a single Nx Server ?
AnsweredIs there any limitation on how many wearable cams can be added (and footage imported / uploaded) to a single Nx Server ?

Hello Tomasz,
Each Nx server supports up to 128 streams, you may refer to the article HERE to get more detailed info including the suggestion of hardware spec. You can also import the footage/video file as one of the streams.
Please let me know if you have more questions before deployment.

Hi Wendy.
Thank you for response. I know Nx Server supports 128 streams :-) I'm using it since couple years on many large projects and I often read all the available documentation about Nx platform.
Maybe we have a misunderstanding here. By wearable cameras I understand virtual cameras (because they are called wearable cameras in Nx API documentation).
Virtual cameras in current version of the Nx platform (4.0) are not live video streams. Virtual cameras are added manually or programatically to the Nx server, and the video footage can only be uploaded/imported manually or programatically. In virtual cameras I don't see any option to record live streams from video sources. That is why I ask how many wearable cameras can be added to the Nx server with footage being uploaded/imported.
Allow me to paraphrase my question: Is there any limitation on how many VIRTUAL cams can be added (and footage imported / uploaded) to a single Nx Server ?

Hi Tomasz Polus
There are virtually no limitations in the number of virtual cameras per server. That being said, in general we would recommend connecting max. 128 virtual cameras per server or maximum 100 for a multi-server system, just as the number of IP cameras that can connect to a system. Obviously if there is a mix of IP cameras and virtual cameras, the total count remains the same.
The maximum number of connections remains the same, you can have up to 2000 TCP connections per server.0
