Storage Maxed out
AnsweredI have your system running on windows, and the NAS storage is 2TB, with cameras set to min4 days and no max. This past night it appears the shared NAS drive got full. I thought the system managed max usage in some way so this wouldn't happen. How do I recover. Currently all files are in a "trashbox" folder on that shared Buffalo drive. What settings can I use to delete files, and what settings to prevent over consumption of space in the future.
I have read articles about samba,
about storage management https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/205501378-How-does-Nx-Witness-manage-storage- and
about storage errors https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003462293-Nx-Storage-Errors
Yes, I did get I/O error has occurred at smb://ls210d1c9/Media. and
HDD/SSD disk "smb://ls210d1c9/Media" is full. Disk contains too much data that is not managed by VMS.
I hope this was well explained.
Thanks,
Gord

Hello Gord,
This issue is covered in the related article describing Windows share workflow.
https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/215572427-Add-NAS-Devices-SAMBA-
There is a special section saying why it is important to disable the internal recycle/trash bins in the SAMBA shares.
