Motion Recording: IQeye
CompletedHi,
In the process of converting a client from their existing VMS to NX. Going very well....BUT......
How do I obtain motion recording for IQEye cameras- specifically IQD41S and 755?
I've browsed the camera and cannot find any stream info.
I realise they are old cameras, but are still working and producing good images. I know they are mjpeg only, but are in low motion areas so don't use lots of storage.
Cheers,
Glynn
We have 2 of each on the system (out of 48 cameras) and I don't really want to replace them if at all possible (one is high---15m up with an Immervision wide angle lens!)

Hi Glynn,
Nx Witness now can support the stream via the protocol - ONVIF, RTSP or HTTP.
You can simply check the iQeye article and use their suggested approach to add the stream into Nx.
To add the stream into Nx, please refer to the article - https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/215247978-Add-an-IP-Camera-or-Video-Source
If the camera can't provide dual streams, then you will need to enable the expert mode and choose one of the streams to do motion detection.
However, as you already know, they are pretty old cameras, so please check iQeye for more detail and check if they can provide HTTP/RTSP streams, if not, then Nx might not be able to manage it.
