Server Merge Warning
CompletedI got this warning when attempting to merge servers together: There will be more than 10 servers in the merged system. Systems of such size may be unstable and have issues with updates and synchronization.
We have a large campus with a substantial amount of servers. Currently we have 17 merged together and are planning on adding 2 more due to a new building. In theory, how many servers can a system have before it starts messing up. I'd really hate to have to look for another VMS as my department and users appreciate the simplicity of NX Witness based software.

Hi Zack Sauve,
When everything is running within a local network, the chances of encountering issues are quite low. (not zero!)
Other customers operate servers across different regions with varying connection quality, which can introduce issues. Unfortunately, these issues can’t be resolved on our end without negatively affecting the overall user experience. For example, adding more buffering would reduce performance and create noticeable delays.
To help manage this, we’ve added a warning when users exceed more than 10 servers. That said, most customers use our cloud layer, which makes it easier to scale. To support larger deployments, we’ve introduced cloud-shared layouts, allowing you to connect to Site A and build layouts that include devices from both Site A and Site B. Our team is also actively working on additional features to further optimize scalability for large systems and the communication between different Sites.
I recommend reaching out to your authorized Nx reseller, who can help identify the best solution for your specific setup.
