配置協議問題
Completed基於攝像頭對接配置NX VMS的協議獲取是哪個協議,目前攝像頭是2592*1944的,接進VMS後會只能顯示最高1080P,是哪邊出錯了?

Hi Wei,
Could you please translate your message into English so we can better assist you?
From what I can gather using Google Translate, this case may be more appropriate for the Nx Software Suite section, instead of the Developer forum, so I move the topic.
It also appears that the device may be delivering a lower resolution than it is actually capable of. In such situations, it's best to capture the device discovery and initialization process using a tool like Wireshark. This will help verify which resolutions the device reports and compare them to the options available within the VMS.

HI
The current configuration is 2592*1944, but the highest resolution after entering VMS is only 1080P. The R&D staff asked me to ask which protocol is used to obtain the configuration of connecting to VMS, so that the R&D staff can update the underlying configuration in this direction. Please help with the above, thank you.

Hi Wei ,
Please refer to this article for the details. We integrate with most camera brands via the ONVIF standard, while only a few, such as Hanwha and AXIS, are supported through native APIs.
During the camera initialization process, Nx follows a built-in algorithm to fetch, select, or configure the stream profile. Occasionally, unexpected or missing attributes in the ONVIF response may lead to unintended behavior.
Could you let us know which camera brand you're currently using? Also, are both the Nx system and the camera firmware up to date?
Thank you!

HI
This brand is from Shanghai, China. I have never used VMS before. This is the first time I use it for export. I want to ask which protocols are used to obtain the underlying connection. Only by knowing the protocol acquisition and development can I modify the camera software connection accordingly. Please help me. Thank you.

HI
Are VMS and the camera the latest versions? Once VMS is turned on, it will be forced to change to 1080P or 1280*720. The original default is 2592*1944. There should be an error in the docking protocol acquisition. The R&D side needs to know which items are used for docking protocol acquisition so that they can modify the camera's underlying protocol changes accordingly. Please help me with the above. Thank you.0 -
Hi Wei,
As Wendy Chuang mentioned, we use ONVIF for device discovery and initialization.
As noted in my earlier message, tools like Wireshark can be helpful for verifying the resolutions being reported by the devices.
If you're able to capture the discovery and initialization process with Wireshark, feel free to share the output, and we’d be more than happy to take a look.

HI
OK, I'll ask R&D to help check it out. Is there any other way to contact them?

HI
How do I upload the file here? I just sent the file by email.

HI
VMS client: ip is 172.18.31.16 (local computer ip)
IPC device: ip is 172.18.30.17620250616.pcapng is the packet capture file of the local computer network port of Wireshark
The filter condition is port 80 && host 172.18.30.176From the packet capture file, we can see:
VMS sent /onvif/Media2/SetVideoEncoderConfiguration requests to IPC for streams 20, 46, 54, 62, and 70 respectively, and the parameters carried (resolution, frame rate, etc.) are rather strange. (VMS does not have any manual operation to send encoding settings)In addition, it can be seen that:
Before sending the /onvif/Media2/SetVideoEncoderConfiguration request, VMS sent the /onvif/Media2/GetVideoEncoderConfigurations request,
and the IPC device also responded with normal parameters (resolution, frame rate, etc.).0 -
Hi Wei,
What do you mean with:
OK, I'll ask R&D to help check it out. Is there any other way to contact them?
Our R&D? We'll investigate the Wireshark file, and discuss it internally if required.
How do I upload the file here? I just sent the file by email.
To which email address did you send the file?
You can share a link to Google Drive, MS Onedrive, uDrop, WeTransfer, etc. With kind regards.

HI
Is there a way to solve this problem? The resolution is stuck and I can't use it normally.

Hi Wei,
To effectively investigate the issue, we first need to understand what's causing it. At this stage, we don't have enough information to determine the root cause or how it might be resolved, and we are awaiting the Wireshark capture from you to properly investigate the issue.
So far, all we know is that a camera - manufacturer and model unknown- is not offering a resolution higher than 1920 × 1080, even though it should support 2592 × 1944.
Could you please add the device to the ONVIF Device Manager or the ONVIF Device Test Tool and check whether it provides a primary stream with a resolution of 2592 × 1944? Sharing these details will help us look into the matter further. Thanks in advance!

HI
I have the packet capture data. Can you provide me with a mailbox where I can receive emails? I will email the file to you so that you can check if there are any errors that need to be corrected.
