    I plugged in a Digital watchdog camera with analytics to the system to see if it would bring up the object icon and it did, but only on the right side menu.

    The cameras are displaying objects in the right side menu as they should so they are setup properly but the object tab on the camera view isnt being displayed.

    I have the same cameras on other systems that have the objects tab working on the camera views but they were added at a lower firmware level than the cameras that aren't working so there seems to be an issue with the VMS recognizing the analytics from these cameras or the cameras telling the VMS they have analytics.

    Hi Greg,

    When a camera is detected, it will communicate its capabilities, such as whether it supports object detection. To confirm this, you can capture the discovery and initialization process using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump. By analyzing the captured packets, you can verify the presence and availability of object detection features.

    I know these cameras do infact have object detection as I have them installed on other servers.  I just did another system this week that I had to plug a DW camera into the system to get the object tab to come up.  Once it did the Hikvision cameras displayed the object data on the right side panel as well as the yellow lines in the search bar and like the other system it does not display the object icon on the camera view

    Could you kindly share the model and firmware details for the affected devices? Also, is DW aware of this issue? They would be the most suitable team to report and address such concerns.

    Hikvision camera models 

    DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL  with FW 5.7.20 

    DS-2CD2387G2H-LISUSL with FW 5.7.18

    DS-2CD2347G2-LU with FW 5.7.18

     

    I did contact DW tech support but they weren't able to solve the issues.

    Hi Greg,

    I was able to connect to a system with both models, and both use other firmware than you have listed.

    Please try this firmware, to see if this resolves the issue.
