Ubuntu desktop application issue
AnsweredDear Support team,
We have a trying to run a test of NxWitness over a private LAN with multiple remote location cameras.
As we are looking for a feasible solution, we are using NxWitness Server & Desktop for OS – Ubuntu 18.04.
Issues:
- Currently, we want to add a remote location to see performance of video but we are unable to get the Desktop application to run on the server. Clicking on the icon does not result on the app initiating
- Nx Server WebAdmin is accessible via URL and appears to be working (Port 7001)
- There are no system or app errors in the server logs
Would appreciate any support you can extend on the same.

Hi @...,
The issue isn't related to the OS, Ubuntu works just fine for both the server and the client application.
My first guess would be that the server hardware isn't capable of displaying the Nx GUI and is missing OpenGL 2.1+.
In THIS support article you might find a possible workaround.0
