Unusual activity/motion learning/smart motion
NewHi. A really neat feature would be Nx able to 'learn' or distinguish between regular motion (trees/bushes moving in the wind) and unusual motion- something that is not there all the time. Could then use this 'unusual motion' to trigger an event/notification.
I see this is sometimes available when using a specific brand camera with their own VMS.
I realise you could use object detection, however that is not always reliable in my findings- especially enough to confidently say 'there was nothing there as it did not trigger a recording'.
Could be an add-on that a client pays for?
cheers

Dear Glynn Thomas,
I hope this message finds you well. I would like to inform you that the feature you are requesting already exists. However, it is either available from the camera side or as a separate application/device that operates within Nx.
To help you access this feature, I have provided two links for your convenience. THIS first link contains a list of supported brands for in-camera analytics, while THIS second link includes third-party integrations that offer analytics or AI applications that work with our VMS.
I agree with you that object detection and in-camera analytics are effective in reducing false-positives, especially when compared to ordinary motion detection. However, it's important to note that false positives may still occur.
In my personal experience, I have found that Axis Radar devices and GJD IP PIR and laser devices have been particularly effective in reducing the occurrence of false positives. These devices have shown a significant improvement in detecting and alerting only when necessary.
I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Best regards,
