Remove record files of NX1
AnsweredWe have sold and demonstate the NX1 micro servers to some customers who use the NX1 for other applications then for security applications. For example Police, detective work, exam applications by training institutes, special mobile applications. There are many opportunities for these markets.
The customers like the software and the compacness of the NX1. But they also want to be able to remove the record files easy of a NX1. This is related to privacy by this applications. It would be great when you can easy remove the pictures of a NX1 with the client.
The NX1 is very interesting for many applications, but then then this function needs to be added.
Is it possible to add this feature?

Hi Peter Fredriks,
Unfortunately, such features are not being worked on at the moment and won't be in the future since it only serves a niche market. In general, you do not want to make it easy to remove data from a security system.
The easiest solution is doing this via an SSH connection and the following command:
sudo rm -rf /path/to/<directory-name>
Be aware that this command is irreversible, also when removing the wrong directory.

What do you mean by "remove" the record files? Are you talking about making a copy for backup purposes or do you mean delete the old footage?

As a work around you could change the min/max fixed archive length in camera setting page from auto to 1 day min/max.
Footage should purge itself?
