Maps are navigated using familiar pan and zoom controls while controls to rotate the map around a center point, or change the pitch of the view, enable view perspectives and orientation.
Pan and Zoom
The default action for cursor click-hold-drag movements is to pan the map while the mouse-wheel will control the zoom level (when supported on the workstation).
The (+) and (-) icons also control the zoom level.
See Icons and Panels for more information about the available, on-map controls.
Set the Viewing Pitch and Map Rotation
Click and hold the orientation icon to control the pitch and rotation of the map; the orientation icon will reflect these changes.
- Perform a click-hold-left/right movement to rotate the map about the center point.
- Perform a click-hold-up/down movement to change the pitch between zero (looking down at map) and 90 degrees, which is considered looking at the horizon. Available building elevations and geometry will be displayed when the map is in 3D mode.
| NOTE: Click and release the orientation icon to reset the map angle and pitch. |
