NX Witness V5.0 Unable to use touch screen to select items from left-hand tree menu

Hi,

I have upgraded from V4 to V5 of NX Witness and no longer can use the touch screen to select the items from the left-hand tree menu. I was able to do this in the earlier version. Also, the touch works in the main window, and I can use it to select a camera, double click to go Fullscreen or even use it to control PTZ camera but no longer can select a tree item.

Any idea why this is and if it can be enabled?

  Hi naveer yazdan,

  We don't officially support any touch screen though, it is probably you can try to update the touch screen driver.
  As on 5.0, there could be some new implementation on the desktop client with newer generation of libraries have been used, so likely those libraries might not be tune or optimized or even not supported by the hardware.

  Unfortunately we don't have a clear picture/ETA on supporting the touch screen officially, I will suggest the idea internally, however, there might be no solid schedule for this.
