Objects - Search by specific date

Hi to all,

When the Time Menu is selected plz consider to display a calendar  to select a specific date and/or include a field to type a date.

Also consider to enable the SearchBox to detect dates.

  Hi Miguel Dina,

  Currently, the workflow is like this:

  1. Select timespan on the timeline, either by click-and-drag or by select the date and hour in the calendar at the bottom-right. 
  2. All events within that timespan will appear on the right.
  3. You also get notified that it was Selected on Timeline.

  

  Is this too complex for users? Is improvement mandatory or nice-to-have?

  I think the options dialog confuses users here - I have seen this quite a few times when supporting installers where they're not aware the filter can be set to a custom time range by selecting a period on the timeline.

  Because the filter dialog only presents last day, last 7 days, last 30 days or any time as options, it makes the user think that this is all that is available. Just adding an extra option here for 'selected on timeline' would let users know it's available as a choice.
