Intergrating facial recognition camera into NX

Has anyone been able to directly integrate a facial recognition camera into NX so based on the on-camera recognition it triggers an automation? Much like how the LPR cameras tell NX is its a whitelist number plate or a blacklist etc. 

I see plenty of plugins that do facial recognition but I'm not sure what the on cameras support is like. If so, any cameras or terminals that could be recommended?

    Hi Calypso,

    I checked our supported device list, but this model isn't listed yet.
    That means so much that less than 3 unique devices were connected to 3 unique systems.

    It is fairly possible that this device can use the in-camera analytics within Nx, but we can tell for sure since we do not know how the Hikvision ISAPI was used in the camera.

    We never suggest any cameras, for the reason that we always disappoint someone for not mentioning them.

    Perhaps Tomasz Polus/Fredrik Ahlsen/Riaan Kruger/Miguel Câmara/Guilhem Decoux have suggestions.

    Hi Calypso,

    We made sucessfull integration with Sequrinet AIBOX (from Korea) using their facial recognization solution.

    Working both with API and HTTP events, they have cameras too, but don't know if FR can be achieved on it...

    In the AI box you can setup groups (white list, black list...) and get the event in Nx, so from here you can create a rule to trigger a relay when such keyword appears.

    Hi Calypso,

    From the manufacturers I usually work with, we don't have any camera with Edge Facial Recognition.

    I am aware of some door stations and panels that do have Edge Facial Recognition, like Akuvox or even Hik and Dahua.

    I don't think they have any direct integration with NxWitness, but you can probably get some HTTP notification sent to NxWitness with the name of the recognized persons.

    The experience we actually have for Facial Recognition that integrates to NxWitness is with the Sequrinet AIBox.... Looks like Guilhem Decoux beat me to it.

    Those are my two cents. :)

    Thanks guys, this is helpful. I'm looking to try and do as much edge processing as possible to keep the costs down but will investigate Sequrinet.
