Server conflict - Interesting
In Progresshi there,
We use 3 servers to run NX. One is up and running, second has no cameras on it and 3rd is offline.
Why are we getting a server conflict message?.
plz send some light.

Hi Miguel Dina,
Lucky guess; did you clone a server?
Could you run the following API call and share the JSON output?
http://<serverIp>:7001/ec2/getHardwareIdsOfServers

Hi Miguel Dina,
All devices have unique IDs, so that won't be the issue (I cleaned the output a bit, to keep it readable).
The API request I provided is a system-wide request, so should, and did, return the same value regardless of the server you address the API call to.The server conflict occurs if different servers on the same network access and pull data from the same devices (typically cameras). In this case, some devices may drop offline because they do not provide several streams simultaneously. This results in a Device Disconnection/Malfunction event. The notification message contains a list of the specific devices that are used by both servers. This is a default event.
Meaning, you have an Nx Witness system running in a subnet with YXZ cameras, but also another VMS (Nx or different) and/or an NVR in the same subnet accessing the same devices (typically cameras).
The MAC-address of these other VMS servers and/or NVRs are listed in the notification.
If for some reason, you want to keep the devices available to multiple servers/NVRs you should enable for each device the option Keep camera stream and profile settings (1) in the tab Expert of the Camera Settings menu.
