Force Override detected Vendor and Model.
AnsweredI'm looking for a way to override the Vendor and model number on OEM cameras.
I supplied a list of some of the examples but haven't had a response as I think I listed what was a long list.
on further inspection I now understand that some users have requested changes and have been supplied a resource_data.json file.
Is there a way of just providing a procedure to do this manually? As I have many models that are OEM that I know the retail equivalent part for. As I have sites with 100's of cameras many custom firmware's used to capture data in a unique algorithm. i.e. Container Recognition and Human Temp sensors being just so of the simpler alterations. Note they still trigger as standard HikVision smart events.
I'm happy to keep raising tickets, but if there's a procedure I'm happy to do it myself.

Hi Alex,
We should do this ourselves, so it becomes part of the source code.
The fix we offer to our customers is only a temporary fix, which will silenty merge into the source code, once we processed it.
The reason you didn't got a response is me to blame. I overlooked it. My apologies for that.
I just checked the list, and I have some questions about it. So I'll set this topic to answered and move the other topic into a support ticket to continue the conversation.

Sweet not a problem. I thought it might have just be a mapping function of sorts that the JSON file was doing.
Honestly I was just looking for a way to save time raising ticks as I have a heap of these stupid OEM cameras. and frankly HikVision have been useless in sorting out a solution. The worst of the problem is I have a literal warehouse full of cameras that arrived in a 40" container that were ordered a year ago by a previous team. so I'm stuck with OEM model numbers on everything.
