Onvif Profile M - Video analytics metadata
AnsweredHi.
Any plans to add support for Onvif Profile M for universal analytics metadata support?

Hi Fredrik Ahlsen,
Thanks for your question and suggestions.
Yes, Profile M is on our radar and we are on the track of implementation and design of Profile M.Although I am not able to provide the precise ETA, however, it is targeted to be in Nx Witness v5.1 or the patch.
Hope this helps.0 -
Revisiting this a year later, how is implementation of Profile M coming along? Has the roadmap been narrowed down some?

Following up. Is this still in the plan, and is there an ETA?

Hi,
Any plans on this? The metadata is becoming more and more popular...

This is a massive gap in the product. Any updates on Profile M implementation?

Hey all
Yes, this is coming, but it is not yet available. We are targeting to support Events first. The next update to Gen6 will have it (6.1).
Object tracking is scheduled for the next iteration now, have yet to start developing it.1 -
now that we are on 6.1 has onvif events been implemented? If so how can it be configured? Currently I'm still on 6.0.3.40736 but will start upgrading to 6.1 if onvif events are now supported. We are trying to use smart analytics with Pelco Sarix Pro 4 cameras to bring human/vehicle detection capabilities into Nx witness. (Wisenet Wave)

Initial support for ONVIF Profile M was added in version 6.1; you can expect to see public announcements about it soon.
Also see https://nxvms.com/download/betas
We only tested it with several vendors/models/firmwares, though, so actual support also depends on the camera side. Please keep in mind that there is no standard implementation of the ONVIF standard, so sometimes we bump into strange standard implementations on the camera side.1 -
Hello, I can confirm that onvif events are correctly shown on v6.1, but what about onvif metada for object detection on rtsp xml track? I’m just trying to see an overlay with bounding boxes sent via onvif metadata rtsp. Is this currently supported on v6.1? Thanks!

Andrew Buch Sampaio - About three posts up Tagir Gadelshin said they were registering events only for the 6.1 release and object tracking would be in some future iteration. So perhaps v6.2 will have it. That was a year ago, so it would be nice to know of updated plans if they exist.
