Events: Camera reconnected?
In ProgressWe're utilizing the camera disconnected event to trigger creating a support ticket. However, this have proven to be very noisy for sites with networking/power issues. If I could automatically close the ticket by sending "camera reconnected" events, this would pretty much solve this problem as it would remove "flapping" cameras from the ticket queue. This *could* present issues if a camera is having big issues where it is repeatedly going on/off. But we'll have ticket history to help resolve that.
But, I don't see anything in the camera rules that would help to notify in this case?
I could potentially run an API check on the camera to see if it is back up, but this creates a fair bit of overhead, where I'd much rather focus on processing events from NX.

Thanks Norman - Nx Support
Can you think of any potential workaround?

Hi Luke McFadden,
The most common solution would be to use a monitoring solution for the network connected devices.
For example the Smart Cloud Monitor or CheckMyCCTV or any other monitoring solution (Zabbix, Nagios, etc.).
You can monitor the status of the camera with the /ec2/getCamerasEx api call and filter the Status flag.
