Suggestion: Option to set a fail over drive.
NewI would like to see an option to set a failover drive that is normally not used until the main storage drive fails.
For example maybe the boot drive is a 500GB SSD. We wouldn't want to write cameras to that all the time, but 300GB of that could be partitioned off as an emergency partition in case the main HDD failed. It might only store 24 hours of footage, but that would be better than nothing.
And of course it should send out a notification when that happened.

Hi Jeff Jones,
I'll leave it up to our product team to decide if we can offer such a solution in the future.
A current solution would be to set up a section of the Boot drive as backup storage.
One limitation might that this section has to be >10% of the total storage space.
In case the main storage become unavailable, you at least have the recordings of the allocation section. That being said, although SSD performance for read/write exercises became almost a none issue nowadays, I would still recommend using an extra HDD as the backup drive. The pricing of HDDs is pretty affordable and provide much more reliability and thus stability versus using a boot drive for that purpose.

Hi Jeff,
When you go to the Server Settings menu, tab Storage Management, you can enable Main (1) or Backup (2) storage.
So at least one Storage location should be set to Main and at least one should be set to Backup.
Lastly, you should go to the Backup Settings... menu (3) and at Execute Backup should be set to Realtime (1) and you select the relevant devices (2). In case you have multiple servers and failover for these servers is enabled, you also could select Backup Newly added devices when you select the devices you want to back up, so in case of failover these cameras will also be recorded.
