AI BOX integration under Linux
AnsweredHello
I cannot under Linux (Ubuntu) activate plugin of AI Box 4CH,
I update to last Nx Version and same for AI box
- Nx Version :4.2.0.33832
- AI Box 4Ch : 72111.1.100328.100
- Plugin : NX- Linux X64 v0.9.9-20211015T075501Z
- Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
I've seen that Lital Akulov seems resolve a previous topic on AIBox, maybe you have a solution ?

Hi Julien ROMANO,
Sorry for the late reply.
Could you please send server logs with DEBUG logging level.
How to change the logging level is described in THIS article. -
Hi Julien ROMANO,
Did you manage to resolve the issue?
If so, how? -
Hi @... and Norman - Nx Support
AIBox doesn't work anymore on linux system, we have to move on windows.
-
Thank you for the update Julien ROMANO.
That's a pity. Are you really sure? I never used AIBox before, but I just scanned through a video about the setup of AIBox, and it seems like it grabs the RTSP stream from the server, which is OS independent, applies their magic, and in case of an event sends a generic event, which is also OS independent.
Beside the plugin they offer, it seems like there is also an option to send an HTTP event from AIBox to Nx Witness in their Event Action / Network / HTTP menu.
Can you provide remote access to AIBox and Nx Witness? If so, I'll convert this topic into a support ticket, so you can share the credentials privately, and we can check the issue together.

the use of AIbox is now different, by using Nx plugin : AIbox send only metadata to Nx and Nx get direct rtsp from camera.

Hi Julien ROMANO,
If the use of the plugin is a requirement for you, you're limited to the plugins AIBox provides you, but seeing the video, I'm pretty sure we make it work in your system by using the Generic events.
I only take a few minutes to configure it, and it saves you from buying and installing Windows.
Your call. ;-)
