    Hi @...,

Please follow the steps below and let us know if you could get the stream again,
    a. Right-click on this camera and go to the Camera Setting > Expert page.
    b. Select the "Use if supported" for Use Media2 to fetch profiles option.
    c. Save the setting.

If it doesn't solve your problem, please share the information with us:
    1. The screenshot of the page:
    - System Administration > General page
    - Camera setting > Expert page of this Vivotek camera

    2. Remove this camera from your system first. Collect the Wireshark packet on the server machine while adding the camera back to the VMS(See the instruction here).
Finally, share the packet file and camera's IP with us. It will be helpful for us to check what's going on between the server and the camera.

    We appreciate your cooperation.

Many thanks for the quick response.

'Use Media2 to fetch profiles' fixed the issue. (The camera recording now uses stream 1 with the H265 low bandwidth codec without error)

    iKind regards

    Paul

    Hi @...,

When you meet the streaming problem with H.265 codec in the future, please try this expert option that forces VMS to request the stream profile with another ONVIF media version.
I'll mark this post as Answered accordingly if there's no further question.
    Thank you.
