Sound length on Nx using rules engine
CompletedDear Community, and Nx Team,
While playing sound from Nx on camera or speaker we noticed that the sound is often shorter than expected, do you have a limit in seconds ? in Mbps ?
And is there a way to get a longer sound, we can't use the "read function" as it's not working for French language.

Hi Guilhem Decoux,
When you upload a audio file you clip the sound to the desired length, which is 10 seconds maximum.

A workaround could be that you load the sound in the speaker itself, if that's possible, and activate with the help of the Do HTTP request action which is available in the rules engine, you trigger the play audio action directly on the speaker, instead of a file on the server to be played on the speaker.

Hi Norman,
Seems your solution is solving my issue, I thought I modified it when previoulsy set it up !
I will double check on another system.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Norman for your information we noticed that often the last second of an audio file is not played correctly.
Loïc TONON solved it by adding a 1sec blank at the end of the audio file...

Hi Guilhem Decoux,
I tried to verify the mentioned issue, but failed.
Each time, I played the audio file, it is played correctly, and I don't notice any missing part of the file in the end.Can you tell me more?
- What version of Nx are you using?
- How is the audio file triggered?
- Can you share the file that isn't played entirely?
