    Hi @...,

Is "F:\DW Spectrum Media" a remote storage location?
Is so, it would be useful to capture the communication between server and storage with Wireshark and analyze what happens which result in the offline notification.

If it is a local HDD, it might be that the number of IOPS are higher than the capacity of the disk.

So this is a local storage drive using WD 6TB purple drive. There are 6TB drives in this box shared between about 20 cameras. All the cameras have analytics on them but none of the analytics are being used.

Does analytics storage require SSD to perform? If yes, we have OS on SSD can we make analytics storage on C: drive even though it is "reserved" because of the larger storage drives?

    @...,

    Regarding:

Does analytics storage require SSD to perform?

Often this is the case. Especially when HDD are used for other recurring tasks as well, you might run into the IOPS limitations.

    Tanapol Euaungkanakul,

Although the notification is similar, the cause might not. Can you open your own topic, so we can work from there? Otherwise this topic might become confusing.

If we try to use the SSD storage that is the C: drive we get the following warning/error.

Is there any information anywhere on analytics storage performance and space required?
Can the analytics be disabled somehow if it is not being used in any kind of events?

    Hi @...,

    Apologies for the delayed reply.

Analytics storage performance and the required space is dependent on the number of analytics and type of analytics. Once analytics storage is enabled, you cannot disable it anymore, that being said, if there aren't any event, no event will be processed and written as well.
