BodyCam connection to WAVE/Nx software
AnsweredCan an external application use a supported Hanwha WAVE API to:
- Identify/select a “Virtual Camera” (BodyCam) data
- Upload a completed MP4 recording to that Virtual Camera;
- Assign or preserve the recording's original date/time so that it appears at the correct position on the WAVE timeline;
- Confirm programmatically that the recording was successfully ingested; and
- Perform this operation unattended as a continuously running integration service?
We do not intend to write directly to the WAVE archive filesystem or database. Our objective is to use only the supported WAVE API/interface.
If these capabilities are supported in Hanwha WAVE, please point us to the applicable API endpoints/documentation and identify any version, licensing, authentication, codec/container, timestamp, or Virtual Camera limitations we should account for.

Hi Charles Baker,
The API is available on the mediaserver API document

Negative, to use virtual camera, you need to upload and the file needs to physically be uploaded to the WAVE storage. This is mandatory.
Please refer to this sample.
Thanks.

And please use the latest 6.1.2+ version of Nx Witness / WAVE for this integration.
