Trial Scenario
AnsweredI am interested in conducting a trial of NX Witness to potentially replace an installed instance of BI that has turned into a stability nightmare. Environment: 12 IP cameras - seven 8MP and five 5MP, one central server (DL380) with hardware arrays receiving the feeds and recording. Dashboard / video wall (?) viewable locally on the server console via RDP and remotely via mobile clients (Apple and Android). Mobile clients have local network connectivity via Wireguard to view.
My problem is that the trial license (as far as I can tell anyway) only supports 4 cameras. I need to stress test this with the entire installed population of 12 cameras to ensure it is a workable replacement before committing to purchasing the licenses. Is this possible?
Note that if successful I would want to purchase Professional (perpetual) licenses. Zero interest in any sort of ongoing Enterprise subscription or cloud environment. Assuming the purchase decision is a yes, is it possible to purchase the required licenses directly from Network Optix? The resellers listed on your website for the US all (judging from their websites) seem to be heavily pushing design / install services (I don't have any use for those and I have less interest in sales calls / sales tactics) and none list any sort of pricing for licenses you can just select and buy.

Hi Darren Watts,
We can certainly accommodate a 12-camera trial for you instead of the standard 4-camera limit.
Since our US Nx Witness resellers exclusively offer the Enterprise Subscription version, perpetual licensing is available directly through our partner, Digital Watchdog. You will be using their branded version of our software, DW Spectrum, which provides the exact same core features and capabilities as Nx Witness, just under their brand name and theme.
To get your 12-camera trial key issued, please reach out to Digital Watchdog directly through THIS Link. They will be happy to provide such trial key for you and assist with any perpetual license inquiries.
Best regards.
