Executable (.exe) video exports fail to launch silently after recent update
Hello,
Since the recent Nx Witness update, we are experiencing a critical issue with standalone executable (.exe) video exports. None of the exported .exe files will launch anymore.
Here are the details of our environment and the tests we have already performed:
- Nx Witness Version: Nx Witness Client version 6.1.2.42921 (40d5d24197ba)
- OS: Tested on 4 different workstations running fully updated Windows 11
When double-clicking the exported .exe file, nothing happens. The process seems to terminate instantly. Other export formats (like .nov) are working perfectly fine.
Already done :
1. Antivirus / Windows Defender: Completely disabled for testing, but the issue persists.
2. CLI Redirection: Launched the .exe via CMD using standard output redirection ( > logs_stdout.txt 2> logs_stderr.txt). Both generated text files remain at 0 bytes. No output is printed at all.
3. Windows Event Viewer: Checked both "Application" (for Event ID 1000/App Error) and "CodeIntegrity" logs right after trying to launch the file. Absolutely nothing is logged.
Is this a known issue with the latest release? Are there any specific dependencies or local security policies that changed with this version regarding standalone exports?
Thank you for your help.

Good morning
I'm having the same problem after exporting a video in EXE format. I'm trying to run the EXE application and it's not working. I urgently need your support, as I'm a casino operator. After experiencing network connectivity issues, I was advised to update the system to the latest version, and now I've lost this important function that I use daily.
