I'm also having the problem that my Dahua camera (IPC-T54Pro-AS) isn't being detected.
I have a Dahua camera that isn't being recognized, so the analytics features aren't available. I can't flash it back to the original firmware because I haven't been able to find it.
Can anyone help me?
Please let me know if any further information is needed.
Please excuse my English; it's not my native language.
Best regards, Thomas
This is the camera that is not being recognized.

Hi famjak,
The behavior you're seeing is expected.
First device: It isn't recognized because its vendor name comes through as "General" rather than "Dahua."
Nx Witness relies on the vendor name as the identifier to proceed, and we don't support such a generic/loose brand name. I'd suggest checking with Dahua on why this device reports its vendor name as "General" — it's likely a setting or firmware issue on their side. (usually ONVIF)Second device: Here the vendor name correctly shows as "Dahua," so the media server can identify it and run the proper initialization commands. That's why it works as expected.
In short, the difference comes down to how each device identifies itself over ONVIF. (i.e. inconsistency of ONVIF response for same manufacturer)
Once the first device reports the correct vendor name, it should be recognized the same way as the second. If you have further question, your local distributor will be able to help you on this in general.
Thanks.
