Memory issue (usage increase) on Windows Client 6.0.6.41837
We've recently updated our servers and clients to 6.0.6.41837 and have lots of users reporting degrading performance when running the client over time. Here's a screenshot with client open for 30 minutes with only one video streaming. When first opened the task manager started at 500 MB and started climbing immediately. After ~30 minutes it was over 2GB and still climbing. Need to patch for this client version.

Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your question.
At the moment, the available information might be limited, so we are not able to draw a conclusion yet. It may also be too early to determine whether this is a memory leak. An increase in memory usage can be caused by various factors. If you are willing to proceed with further investigation, we will be happy to help check the possible cause.
The suggested next steps are:
- Update the system to the latest Nx Witness version, currently 6.1.1. This is required.
- Provide step-by-step reproduction steps for this behavior if the issue persist on 6.1.1.
- Provide a memory dump from a machine where this behavior can be observed. This is required.
- Provide the hardware configuration of the client machines, and also confirm whether they are reviewing any object detection results.
Generate a Memory Dump- Open Task Manager (
Ctrl+Shift+Esc). - Go to the Details tab.
- Right-click the desired application/process. (Nx Witness Client)
- Select Create dump file.
- A dialog box will appear indicating where the
.dmpfile is saved (often in%Temp%or%LocalAppData%\Temp)
Thanks,.
