Preparation work for plugin release
CompletedWe have developed a plugin for Tiandy's device, which can be used normally by placing it in the plugins directory on the server. We have tested the functionality ourselves. we want after installing Nx Meta \ MediaServer, our plugin will default to being in the directory. What applications do we need to submit and what conditions do we need to meet. I have observed that the plugins for Hikvision, Dahua, and Yushi are currently in the default installation package。

Thank you for your inquiry.
The folder you mentioned is generated by the default installation of Nx Witness. In other words, only plugins developed in-house by Nx are included and created as part of the installation process.
For security and troubleshooting concerns, no third-party plugins are allowed to be bundled into the default installation package. Therefore, we’re sorry to inform you that this request cannot be accommodated, and we are not able to include any third-party plugins in the installer.
As an alternative, we would recommend preparing a script that customers can execute directly, or providing installation instructions for your plugin to be installed by the relevant personnel.
Thank you for your understanding.

I noticed that the plugins for Hikvision, Dahua, and Uniview already exist in the default installation directory. How did they achieve this and do they need business integration.

Hi
As mentioned in our previous reply, only plugins developed in-house by Nx are included and created as part of the default installation process.
The plugins you referenced (including Hanwha and Axis…etc) were originally developed by Nx internally, both in the past and continuing today. While they may still receive bug fixes, there are generally no significant features being added. As long as the manufacturers maintain compatibility with the APIs used, these integrations will continue to function.
For your reference, manufacturers such as Hikvision, I-Pro, and Milesight have dedicated teams working with us on analytics development. The plugins they develop are implemented via the MetaSDK and can be loaded in parallel, allowing them to deliver the features they require independently.
Therefore, we regret to inform you that we are unable to include any external or third-party plugins in the installation package. This policy is in place to ensure software integrity and security.
Thank you for your understanding.
