Disabling User Resolution Change
CompletedHi,
Is there any way via the registry settings/.ini file, to disable a user from changing the resolution of the items in the grid?
e.g. Whenever there are multiple items on the gird, always view in low resolution and only switch to high when the camera is enlarged?
We have found the ‘auto’ mode isn't effective at controlling CPU usage.

Hi Harvey Turner,
You can manually force high or low resolutions by modifying the
desktop_client.inifile. After creating the file and restarting the client, as explained in THIS support article, locate and uncomment thedefaultResolutionparameter, then set its value to"low".This forces the layout to display the secondary, low resolution, stream by default, while automatically switching to the primary high-resolution stream when a camera is viewed in full screen.
Note that the standard "Auto" switching method should work reliably provided you are using the latest version of Nx Witness and meeting the Desktop Client hardware recommendations.
With kind regards.
