Need Help Adding IDIS NVR to a Server in NX Witness
CompletedHi,
I'm a IT staff trying out the NX Witness product, last week after joining a product explanation by Mr. Andy, I was excited to try and using the NX witness on the office today.
sadly I don't understand how to add the NVR to the Server, by using add device feature manually putting IP and Port of the NVR yet it won't show the device.
there is only one NVR which are IDIS DR-8364 which already running and using IDIS Center right now
yet after the presentation of NX Witness, I'm interested on trying adding the NVR to the NX witness, are using multiple VMS program could be the problem?
is it because the NVR already registered on IDIS Center that the device aren't discoverable?
the only automatically devices detected by the system are cameras, yet the cameras aren't streaming normally and keep disconnecting.
if anyone know the solution any help would be amazing,
thank you

If the device isn't discovered by the VMS, it is likelly not Onvif Compatible.
You can verify this by trying to view it in the Onvif Device Manager, of check the communication between VMS and NVR with Wireshark and check the responses for the Onvif related requests.Sometimes, it is required to enable Onvif in the device.
If there is not option to add the devices through Onvif, typically, you can add the streams manually as RTSP streams instead. See THIS part of the in-client manual for more details.
With kind regards.
