Linux - Adding NX Witness Client to Automatic Startup - Questions.
CompletedHey,
I have added NX Desktop client to autostart with the Linux OS by navigating (via GUI) to "Startup Applications Preferences"
The command i have used is /opt/networkoptix/client/4.1.0.31398/bin/applauncher-bin

My question is, if the application gets updated when new versions are out, will i need to edit the application autostartup?
This would be a pain if so!
Would anyone know the best way to add NX Witness client to auto start with the OS?
Thanks!
Regards,
Michael

Hmm i ended up following this article instead and did the section for "alacarte"
https://www.fosslinux.com/43611/how-to-manage-startup-programs-on-ubuntu.htm
- this gave me the command ""/home/nvr/.local/share/Network Optix/applauncher/default/bin/applauncher-bin" %u"
- When i added this to the startup application command section i did on my original post it auto launched.
- This doesn't appear to reference versions so hopefully should work in the future.

Nothing to add @...!
Maybe one thing. It will continue to work as long as the file name remains applauncher-bin, but as far as I know, there are no plans to rename it.FOSS Linux is a great resource to get the hang of Linux and other open source applications.
